We regularly get pitches for the newest "shampoo for hikers" or "conditioner for the female road warrior," most of which are just plain old shampoos and conditioners rebranded for the niche travel market. The new NIVEA for Men Active3, on the other hand, actually makes traveling less of a hassle by combining shampoo, body wash, and shaving gel into a single product.

It's not going to revolutionize travel gear, but it might make packing for your next trip just a little bit easier if you're a dude.

All travelers, no matter how well organized, eventually forget toiletries at home and have to make appropriate substitutes. It doesn't take very long before you figure out that soap, shampoo, and shaving cream are all just different kinds of soap anyway. The difference is how much each product foams, which ends up making a huge difference in how clean you feel when you get out of the shower. NIVEA claims that their new 3-in-1 strikes just the right balance for hair, body, and shaving purposes.

The Active3 is available at most food, drug and mass merchandisers nationwide. You can also purchase it online from NIVEA's online storefront. A 16.9oz bottle should cost around $5.99, with the smaller 8.4oz going for a $1.50 less. This begs the immediate question: how soon can we get a sample that fits into TSA's silly 3-1-1 policy?
