Grab Your Fork For dineLA's Fall Restaurant Week
Even in this dismal economy, foodies don't have to sacrifice fine dining, at least where there is a restaurant week. Come this fall, restaurants across Los Angeles county will serve up special three-course menus for dineLA's first fall Restaurant Week from Oct. 4-9 and Oct. 11-16 (okay, so it's really two weeks).
This marks dineLA's third culinary celebration and the largest county-wide food fest of the year. The other Restaurant Weeks were held in the winter; last year, 150,000 mouths devoured meals at 175 participating eateries. Although this year's roster of restaurants won't be available on dineLA's website until Sept. 1, we've already got confirmations from Caché, On Sunset, The Lobster, The Bistro Garden at Coldwater, Geisha House and Ketchup that they're participating.
Diners will get an appetizer, an entree and a dessert as part of the deal. Prices vary: Deluxe Dining is $16 for lunch and $26 for dinner; Premier Dining is $22 for lunch and $34 for dinner, and Fine Dining is $28 for lunch and $44 for dinner (beverages, tax and gratuity are not included). Many of the participating restaurants will offer wine pairings along with their three-course meals for an additional charge. With the money you've saved on the meal, treat yourself to a glass or twoit's exactly what they're hoping you'll do so they can make up the difference.
