'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' Takes Their Fake Musical On A Real Tour

If you're a fan of FX's cult hit It's Alway's Sunny in Philadelphia, you know all about The Nightman, a character Charlie (Charlie Day) created and sings about when he and Dennis (Glenn Howerton) form a rock band. You may also know that Charlie turned the song into a full blown musical, The Nightman Cometh, in the show's fourth season while trying to win over a girl.

Well now, for all you die-hard fans out there, the cast of It's Always Sunny is taking The Nightman Cometh on a five-date U.S. tour this fall. That's right, they will be performing the entire musical live!

The musical was written by Rob McElhenney (Mac), Charlie Day (Charlie) and Glenn Howerton (Dennis) who will be joined by Kaitlin Olson (Sweet Dee), Danny DeVito (Frank), Mary Elizabeth Ellis (The Waitress) and Artemis Pebdani (Artemis) in the live stage adaptation of The Nightman Cometh.

If you're going to travel to see The Nightman Cometh, Philly is, obviously, the place to go. But the show won't be the only big event in the city this fall. The Philadelphia Zoo is also celebrating their 150th Anniversary and several hotels, like the Hyatt Regency Philadelphia at Penn’s Landing, are helping them with special rates and packages. The Hyatt's deal, which starts at $240 a night, includes two zoo tickets and two breakfast buffet vouchers until Nov. 30. You can reserve the package online or by calling 215-928-1234.
