We love rubbing against a hot yacht, and nowhere's better to explore what you can't (or can, with a loan) afford than at a boat show. Sydney's Darling Harbour Boat Show is this weekend, and there'll be five halls full of hulls, not to mention the Cockle Bar Marina. The fest has been hopping since 1968, and the highlight is undoubtably the Boat Building Competition during which teams have to build a boat in 2 hours and then sail it. Bring a life jacket. Cost to enter: $18 adults, $10 children.

Got a craving for some Polynesian delicacies this weekend? You're in luck as the Pacific Islanders' Associate hosts the Aloha Festival on the parade ground in Presidio. There will be island cuisine, educational booths, Pacific Islander music, crafts, and some intense hip shaking during the Polynesian dances. Somebody's gonna get seriously lei'd this weekend.
