Cindy Crawford Goes Skydiving in Hollywood

Where: Universal Studios City Walk [map], Universal City, CA, United States, 91608

Ever wanted to go skydiving but didn't think you were up for the whole jumping out of a plane bit? Then make like Cindy Crawford and head to Universal Studios City Walk in Hollywood where you can try out indoor skydiving. No plane needed. Heck, you don't even have to jump off a bench or anything.

That's because iFly Hollywood is essentially a vertical wind tunnel. Here's how they describe it:

Simply put, iFLY is flying; you will soar on a column of air inside a vertical wind tunnel....iFLy uses superior technology and is unique; multiple fans located at the top of the flight chamber produce a wall-to-wall airflow that is smooth and fun to fly in.

We've actually seen a similar type of indoor skydiving experience out in Vegas as well and we have to say, we think it's brilliant. We've always been too afraid to jump out of a plane--heck, we hate just flying in a plane in general let alone free-falling out of one. Plus, if Cindy Crawford can do it, then we totally can.

A First-Time Flyer package gives you two flights in the vertical wind tunnel, the equivalent flight time of three tandem skydives, for the price of $59.95. Group packages for up to five flyers start at $239.95. Ages 3 to 103 are allowed to iFly too. The iFly is located next to Cafe Tu Tu Tango and the Hard Rock Cafe at Universal Studios City Walk. (That means it's not part of the actual park but is part of the shops and restaurants adjacent to the park entrance.)
