Your Last Chance at U2 Tickets: Get In The (Red) Zone

July 29, 2009 at 11:27 AM | by | Comment (1)

Tickets for U2's 360 Tour are now hard to come by as shows in Europe and the U.S. sold out in less than 30 minutes. Don't get anxious quite yet though, as there is still hope for die hard fans who missed their chance at tickets the first time around.

U2 has been auctioning off (RED) Zone tickets on Ticketmaster to the highest bidder with part of the proceeds going to Bono's Product (Red) charity. The (RED) Zone seats are on the floor to the left and right of the stage and come with several VIP perks like a special entrance, built-in seating and access to (RED) Zone-only restrooms, bars and merch booths. Considering the benefits, the tickets have been reasonably priced, most auctions have ended for less than $150 per ticket.

We were in the (Red) Zone for Monday night's show in Dublin and have to say the private bathrooms alone were worth every penny!

Currently, there are no open (RED) Zone auctions but they have been opening auctions a few days before each show. You can sign up for U2 email alerts at Ticketmaster.com so you'll know if any new tickets go on sale. If you don't want to wait, there are dozens of (RED) Zone tickets available right now on Ebay, but it will cost you, some bids start as high as $2999.

The U.S. leg of the tour begins September 12th in Chicago. Now that you know how to get tickets, all you have to do is book a room. The Hard Rock still has a few available starting at $259 a night.

(Red) Zone

Are (red) zone tickets standing room only, or are there seats? My very pregnant wife and I have to choose between seats or (red) zone tickets for the upcoming show in Toronto. She won't be able to stand for 2 hours in GA.
