Twihards Go Wild On Twitter For Comic-Con
What are pale, sparkly, and slept on a conference-hall floor last night? Die-hard "Twilight" fans waited in such droves for today's "New Moon" panel that even the famous had to stop and take notice. @PerezHilton tweeted the above photo of the line, proving to all and sundry that he really does leave the Coffee Bean once in a while. These fans waited without even knowing what stars from the movie will appear at the 1:45PM PDT panelthat's dedication!
Of course, it was Twihardsthe term for hardcore fans of Twilightat home who had the most chance of catching updates on the third movie, "Eclipse," currently in pre-production. "Eclipse" director @DAVID_A_SLADE bragged about scouting locations in Vancouver like a man unafraid of massive crowds turning up like they did earlier this year to catch Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in action. Slade, you're just making them all angry! Don't underestimate those crazy tweens!
For other famous Tweeters, Comic-Con meant a last-minute dash to work: "Donnie Darko" director @JRichardKelly got a preview for his new film "The Box" (with score by the Arcade Fire) in under the wire, while "Star Trek"'s @ZacharyQuinto bragged this was his third Comic-Con and prepared for a mysterious announcement at a panel on Saturday with Archaia Comics. And @IMKristenBell gamely answered questions about her voice work in "Astro Boy," a CGI spectacle about a young robot, while trying to forget that the year before everyone saw clips of her from "Fanboys" in a Slave Princess Leia costume. Hey, once a geek, always a geek.
