There are two versions of the of the Komfort Kollar. The $27.85 version is inflatable. But for a mere $32 more you can buy a version that's filled with memory foam. The advantage is that you don't asphyxiate trying to inflate it. The downside is that you can't deflate it and stow it in your luggage, meaning that other people will unavoidably see you walking through the airport with it - and judge you.
There are three product reviews on SkyMall. Two of them list the pros as "none" and point out that the pillows are poorly constructed, subject to leakage, and offer no benefit to anyone who doesn't consider "looking like a moron" a benefit. The third one is just too precious for words. It was posted by a user who has no activity anywhere else on the site and seems to have registered specifically to express her enthusiasm for the pillow:
The neck collar that hooks in the front is perfect for flights. I have a neck problem and this collar prevents the head from slamming down when dosing and causing further problems to the neck. This is a wonderful product that prevents further neck strain and pain.
It's nice to see that, even in our depressed economy, PR firms are still hiring college interns to leave functionally anonymous comments on the intertubes. America really is a land of opportunity.
