Jon Gosselin's Moving On and Moving Up To Manhattan's West Side

July 20, 2009 at 10:19 AM | by cmb | 0 Comments

Jon Gosselin isn't wasting any time making the most of his new bachelor pad in The Alexandria on New York's upper west side. According to People, The Alexandria is a "luxury building, complete with a 24-hour doorman and concierge ... small gym, a pool, hot tub – and a small playroom. The building also takes security seriously: Residents have have to scan their index finger to get into the gym area."

We wonder if residents' guests have to scan their index fingers too. That might get a little complicated for Jon, who is currently juggling two women and eight kids. On Saturday night he was spotted out with Kate Major, a reporter for Star Magazine, at the upper East Side eatery Accademia di Vino. Kate met Jon while she was working on a story about him for the tabloid but sources tell The New York Daily News she has a tendency to blur the lines between work and friendship, and now she's in the tabloids as well.

Accademia di Vino isn't exactly the type of place you take someone to for a business dinner on a Saturday night. The restaurant's intimate atmosphere and extensive wine list make a good location for a first date, even though the two deny they are dating. The restaurant is known for their fine Italian cuisine like $20 Spaghetti alla Carbonara and $25 Linguine alla Pescatore.

Jon's meeting with the new Kate comes just a week after his trip to Saint Tropez with girlfriend Hailey Glassman. The two were there to meet with Ed Hardy designer Christian Audigier, as Jon is reportedly working on a kids fashion line with the designer, which of course will be modeled by the plus eight in print ads when the line is released.

Speaking of the plus eight, they were NYC this weekend too, but they didn't stay with dad since his new place conveniently only has two bedrooms. instead they stayed with the original Kate at the luxurious Jumeirah Essex House. Hopefully the kids got some alone time with Jon this weekend since his new digs are within walking distance to several kid friendly attractions like the American Museum of Natural History and the Diana Ross Playground in Central Park. We're betting the kids would love the new Extreme Mammals exhibit at the museum. Though it won't be cheap to bring all eight kids, as children's admission costs $9 andadults get in for $16.
