Spankometers and Italian Chandeliers at Berlin's New Sex Academy

Whether you want to soar to ever-greater heights of sexual rapture, or you're just lousy in bed, a new exhibition in Berlin promises to elevate your snarling skills with more than 50 interactive educational displays. The Amora Sex Academy is the brainchild of French horndog Johan Rizki, who opened a similar sex school in London earlier this year. Among its many exhibits, the academy features life-sized plastic models that visitors can grope and paw to learn about the erogenous zones of the male and female bodies. According to an amusing Reuters story, the museum offers tips on striptease, oral sex, orgasm control, and finding the elusive G-Spot. It's always the last place you look!

One of the more amusing features of this tasteful display of sexy stuff is a collection of film clips demonstrating sexual positions. I had never heard of the Italian Chandelier before, but I'm told it burns up to 920 calories per hour. Take that, elliptical machine at the gym! And then there's the Spankometer, which measures the level of pleasure one derives from being smacked on the tush with the end of a leather whip. Apparently, you're looking for the sweet spot between too rough and not rough enough. I love how the couple in the photo has the same facial expressions you see in ads for Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun. So fun!

An official said that the museum has been popular with couples looking to spice up their sex lives, and that, curiously, women have shown fewer inhibitions than men, who have seemed more embarrassed. Over time, maybe everybody will chill out and go to sex school. You'll never look at a chandelier the same way again.
