This Weekend In The World: Targeting The High Line And Al Fresco Art

· New York City
We've already extolled the awesomeness of NYC's newly opened High Line park, and this Sunday, July 12, it'll host a family fun party complete with crafts and live music. We kind of want to go simply to get our picture taken in the "Hi from the High Line!” photo postcard booth and see the World's Largest Lemonade Stand, a 1,300-gallon tank whose purpose is only to refresh the thirsty on hot days. The event is sponsored by Target, so there could also be some cool Target coupons or temporary tattoos. Read more at the High Line's blog.

· Madrid
It might be hot and sunny, but that's all the more reason to drink sangria and dance after dusk during Madrid's Veranos de la Villa (Summers in the City). Although their seasonal celebration lasts through August 23, every day packs in something special, whether its live music in Plaza Mayor or open-air films screenings. And hello, Mikhail Baryshnikov is due to dance! Check out the complete schedule at their website.

· Toronto
Now that temperatures have officialy hit tank top weather, Torontonians can enjoy this weekend of strolling through artworks and yummy food vendors in Nathan Phillips Square during the Outdoor Art Exhibition. Admission every day is free, and over 100,000 visitors are expected to browse the work of over 500 artists in this, Canada's largest outdoor art fair. Whether you bring home a wannabe Monet or just something that matches your couch, you can chalk it up to cultural experience.
