After an unsuccessful lesson in kite surfing, the two ladies hop into a pair of dune buggies for a tour of the shore and the surrounding dunes. Bridget did a good job of driving and following the guide, although things looked a little dicey a couple times. She managed not to tip over her little car and tackled the mountains of sand with the usual overdose of screaming.
After a commercial break, we find ourselves back with Bridget as she investigates Cancun during the spring break season. She heads south of the main action to the Xcaret Ecological Park, where she’s invited to do some underwater exploration with some college kids from back home. Equipped with a scuba-type helmet, they all head under the sea for a rendezvous with the local ocean critters.
Heading back towards Cancun, Bridget opts for a pit stop to explore a cave and underground river. Along with her guide she does her best to imagine what some of the rock formations resemble; too bad Bridget only notices the ones with a naughty shape. The river is crystal clear, and allows for the slightly creepy tour guide to explain the cave’s significance to the local culture.
When we meet again next week we’ll join our host in Agadir, Morocco for some henna tattoos, and Tulum, Mexico for tequila tasting. We’re loading up on the snacks for next week, because there’s a third episode; it’s a season finale due to recap the best beaches, so essentially as long as you see this one, you wouldn't have had to watch the rest.
