Affectionately known as “The Lab,” the stadium was reborn in 2003 after an almost complete demolition of the former Albuquerque Sports Stadium. Just like the major league park in Houston, the Isotopes' outfielders have to contend with a slight hill in center field, which can lead to some unfortunate bounces. Be sure to bring your glove, because home runs are common here thanks to the high altitude and dry air.
If you’ve got some kiddies with you for the game, they’ll probably drag you to the park’s Fun Zone. Located just beyond the berm in right field, the section features bounce houses, putting greens, and ‘Topes Tower—an actual carnival ride that gives a good view of the park’s offerings. Say goodbye to that extra beer money you had stashed away.
