Thus the surveys you see on this site have nothing to do with window vs. aisle or OnePass vs. AAdvantage. No, instead you can learn something like The Top 10 Worst Countries at Giving Directions. France wins with 19.5 percent majority of the vote. The U.S. is right behind China in the #3 spot with 6.4 percent of the vote.
You can also learn which cities have the worst public transport. Los Angeles is the winner here, but Sydney, Melbourne, Cairo and Delhi all round out the top five.
Here's another type of survey you can find on Titanic Awards---Which is the lamest of The Seven Medieval Wonders of the World? The Leaning Tower of Pisa is the winner here but is closely followed by Stonehenge. Man, you travellers are really jaded huh?
Still, in a climate such as today's where speaking out on a travel service, experience or product could get you hate mail from PR folk and tourism boards alike, it's refreshing to see the power put back in the hands of the travelers who can say, "Yes, the United States makes the worst beer." (That's according to the Which Country Makes the Worst Beer survey.)
Another fun part of the site is reading other travel experts "World's Worsts" such as Joe Sharkey's worst meal. (Pigeon pie in Casablanca.) And of course, you can participate in a survey as well. That's what we'll be doing right here for the next few minutes. (*Evil cackling.*)
