Coastin' It Up!

June 2, 2009 at 4:57 PM | by shiralazar | 0 Comments

West Coast web media princess, and Jaunted Embed, Shira Lazar rushed off to Hawaii for a couple days at the bequest of So Much More Hawaii. We will be bringing you her travel videos between June 1st and 5th, in hopes of creating a glorious on-the-fly travel guide using as much point oh social webbing as we can. Enjoy.

Finally, I get to talk about one of my all-time favorite escapes in Hawaii: Kauai.

This is my fourth time on the island and it never fails to make me zen out and escape reality completely. If you’re looking for the idyllic Hawaii that you may imagine or see in movies and pictures, then look no further.

While we know the North Shore like the back of our hand (not to boast or anything), we did experience one first on this trip: a boat ride along the Na pali Coast, courtesy of Kauai Sea Tours. We had heard this was a must-see and do. The coast is known for its beauty and history, but is also pretty much inaccessible except by kayak, boat or helicopter.

We were "lucky" enough to join a group on the two-decker boat called the Lucky Lady. The half-day trip included snorkeling, an informative tour from our Captain Jeff, tanning, drinking (beers, Mai Tai’s, sodas or juice) and a quaint sunset dinner.

All we can say is: why did we decide to come back to reality? The pictures and video speak for itself.

You can experience all of this for $145/person. Prices are cheaper on their website. We say, for half a day of relaxation and some once in a lifetime sights, it’s worth it.
