If you’ve never been to Lake Tahoe, now's the time to go, as Zephyr Cove Resort is offering 25 reasons to visit the lake and stay with them. It’s actually only about three hours from the Bay Area and eight hours from Los Angeles, and you can even swing by Yosemite National Park for a total earth lovin’ vacation—except for that carbon emissions thing.

The biggest of those 25 reasons to visit Zephyr Cove is its newest deal--50 percent off all its rooms, suites, chalets, and cabins through June 30. Just enter mayjune25 when booking, and that lakefront cabin will be yours—just try to keep the John Candy reenactments from The Great Outdoors to a minimum. If you'd rather stay in the lodge, we found rooms for less than $80 for this weekend—not too shabby.

In addition to the bargain room rate, the room key itself will act as a magical discount card, granting you access to any other deals that the resort has to offer. For example, every morning you’ll save 25 percent as you down Starbucks from their coffee shop, but be careful not to buy too many souvenirs from the gift shop—it's pretty tempting with that 20 percent discount.

For those motivated to do more than just lounge around, the hotel has paddle boat rentals and kayaks available. With their deal you’ll get an hour of boating for about half the usual rate. Unfortunately, your room key does not provide any free slot play at the nearby casinos.

If you go and have a great time, just remember to get a $10 voucher for 2010, so you can come back in the winter and tear it up on a snowmobile.
