Indulge Your Inner Amphibian At Disney's Stormalong Bay

Where: 1700 Epcot Resorts Blvd. [map], Lake Buena Vista, FL, United States

Last one in's a rotten egg! We're finding the best places in the world to stick our toes in this summer (or next winter) for our World's Coolest Pools map. Know of any pools we must check out? Let us know.

Without a cutesy shape or a benevolent aura, you'd never recognize this mega-pool as the domain of the Mouse. But we had to check out the Yacht and Beach Club combined pools after a tipster promised not only a sandy bottom but "a slide from a pirate ship." And you all know we have a weakness for pirate travel.

Patterned after the summer homes of the East Coast elite, the Yacht Club and Beach Club share a plum spot in Epcot's neighborhood. (How to tell them apart: The Yacht Club is the "green" one with a nod from the Florida Green Lodging Program and contains more dark wood, less wicker.) The water recreational area bears the cheesy name of "Stormalong Bay," but includes a paddleboat launch and that delight of water parks everywhere, the lazy river.

The pirate ship is actually a shipwreck that children and we eternally young at heart can play on. The Yacht and Beach Clubs aren't the only properties to have these, which just proves that pools have gotten cooler since we were young.
