Bridget Returns With The Sights Of South Beach And Playa Jaco

May 22, 2009 at 9:01 AM | by kjb | 0 Comments

We’ve been a little depressed without Bridget Marquardt, and thankfully she’s back in action this week. However, the powers that be have decided to split up her weekly adventures into two half-hour spots. That means less time in each location, but at least we get to see our favorite bikini-ed travel lady in two places. This week she’s in Miami eating alligator tail and in Playa Jaco, Costa Rica for some shoreline horseback riding.

With a couple local beauty queens by her side, Bridget checks out South Beach and then quickly yachts it over to The Fontainebleau where George Hamilton tries his best to work his game on her. Since flirting with old dudes is her forte, she chats him up, but quickly heads elsewhere for some local adventure in the Everglades aboard an airboat. There’s plenty of alligators to freak out Bridget’s pals, but our host does her best to stay cool.

After playing with gators all day, it was time for something a little more up her alley. She hits up the hotel bar with her pals, and even receives a lesson in mixology from the bartender. After creating her own concoction, the Strawberry Blonde, she sets out to take in the nightlife that Miami has to offer. Unfortunately, George Hamilton did not get an invite.

Following a commercial break, we’re with Bridget again as she heads to Playa Jaco in Costa Rica. Along with former playmate Amber Campisi, she does her best to learn the ropes of kayak surfing—which just looks a lot like regular kayaking except with more waves. We'll stick with regular kayaking, thank you very much.

Since the seclusion and shores of Isla Tortuga are only a boat ride away, the two beauties headed on over to enjoy some local grub and a couple blackberry cocktails. With their bellies full, they cooed over indigenous little piglets. We’re pretty sure they weren’t technically pigs, but they were furry and cute, which we can't say about the chickens that were getting frisky with one another.

We’re glad Bridget is back, but the jury is still out on the new format. Short and sweet is good, as we’re part of the no attention span generation, but things seemed quite rushed in the 30-minute chunks. Regardless, we’ll stick around as she moves on to Key West and Arenal, Costa Rica next week.
