Special 'Twares' Have United Airlines All A-Twitter

Are you following us yet on Twitter? We bet you're hooked on Jetblue's feed, what with their almost 545,000 followers. In any case, it might be worth it to check out what United Airlines is quietly tweeting since they've just introduced "twares," or Twitter-specific airfare deals.

According to Today in the Sky, United's first "tware" appeared yesterday just before noon, and featured a time-sensitive fare of $63 each way from Chicago to Washington DC. The sale only lasted for one hour, so the lucky few who obsessively check their accounts and have open travel plans were able to score this first-ever offer from United.

Expect more specials to come down the Twitter vine from United, and you know we're hoping for some more exotic choices. Right now, United's follower number stands strong at 5,304, but if they were to throw out say a roundtrip to Hawaii from Chicago for under $300 all-in, then we'd just sit back and watch that number skyrocket.
