· Kiev: Although you may find yourself playing next to Ben Affleck at some of the higher-profile Poker events in the United States, we're giving props to the Ukraine for holding their own first annual Poker Open this weekend. If you're not in Kiev to join in on the fun wit the "Alabama Poker Club," they'll be hosting satellite hands via the internet. Check out all the (in English) discussion on this in this forum, but we recommend brushing up on your Ukrainian swear words in advance.

· New York City: Two words will suffice in expressing what hubbub NYC will have this weekend: FLEET WEEK! We can't believe that we're skipping town for Berlin during it, but it does happen every year. Enjoy balmy temperatures and crosswalks full of servicemen and women in their dress whites, just drooling for a bar with drink specials. Central Park will be at its leafiest, the club districts will be hopping, and cougars will be out searching for young, clean-shaven prey. It's summer in the city at its finest.
