New Travel Booking Site Voyij Feeds Our Deal Addiction

May 15, 2009 at 8:46 AM | by BS | 0 Comments

Did we really need another travel search engine? While most people with healthy internet habits may say no, deal junkies like us say there are never enough.

The latest on the scene is Voyij, a new site just launched by a bunch of ex-Sidestep employees, and we're loving their setup, which is designed for travelers with wide-open plans. Voyij's homepage simply asks where you are in the world and if you'd prefer to travel this weekend, sometime later this month, or in an upcoming month. It then sorts through all the airplane, hotel and booking sites to find the cheapest deals for your given time, assuming you're willing to go anywhere in the world.

To give it a good shake-down, we searched for last-minute flights from NYC this weekend and found a legit roundtrip ticket to Boston for $74. We had no idea they even fell that cheap!

We were again impressed during our search for a flight + hotel package anytime next month; Voyij turned up a three-night Fort Lauderdale long weekend from $384. Not too bad. And wondering what the cheapest hotel room in the land is this month? Voyij has the answer—Sunday nights at the Edgewater Hotel and Casino in Laughlin, NV, currently going for just $11. You won't see us booking that one, but still, good to know.

Voyij is perhaps not the most practical tool, unless you're a true fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants traveler, but for tempting yourself and plotting the best deals, this thing could be seriously addictive.
