This being "web 2.0" and all, Tahiti won't accept anything less than a video entry for the contest, detailing why you and your family or significant other deserve to fly off on a 6-night, 2-island, shark- and picnic-filled escape. Like the Australian Reef Job, the videos will be hosted online for public voting in June, but the winner among finalist will eventually be pulled by an "expert panel."
All-in-all, there are six of these such vacations up for grabs, so may we suggest applying your favorite fake tanner and charging the video camera now. In the meantime, Tahiti Tourism is simply hoping that all the pictures of tiny islands and expanses of blue water on their website will make you want to book a trip there regardless, and you know what? It's kind of working.
