The ladies start their journey in Oahu on Waikiki Beach, but soon move to the North Shore to find more excitement. Bridget left Aureana on the ground and took off on a powered hang glider to take in some of the best views the island has to offer. Not one to just sit back and relax, our host even took control by turning the plane with her arms. Although they got to see a whale, we’ll stay on the ground when our flying vehicle lacks a steering wheel or yoke.
When in Hawaii, it’s a good idea to check out a couple of the islands, so the two beauties fly to the Big Island and head to Kailua-Kona. Once all set with their wetsuits, the two jump into the water to swim with the Manta Rays at night—something we've dreamed about. These huge creatures just swam right up to them—attracted by lights in the water—and did their best to impress the ladies. No teeth here, so there wasn’t any screaming or near death experiences.
After swimming at the base of a waterfall, they take-off to check out the volcano action. The girls were lucky and got to see plenty of lava dripping right into the ocean, as well as some excellent views of the island’s peaks and valleys. Bridget’s favorite part seemed to be comparing the appearance of old lava flows to the look of brownies—we kind of agree, lava is nice and all, but you can’t eat it.
Next week Bridget reunites with her roommates from the mansion, as she takes on the beaches and action of Southern California. We’re hoping that she discovers some lesser known spots, and that Hef doesn’t show up to play the role of chaperone.
