Officials with Queensland Rail expect all this new technology to cost about between $1 and $4 million—quite a range, no? The WiFi will be available on all the trains and stations within the Citytrain network by early in 2010. Until then, you’ll have to call out of work the old-fashioned way.
Once complete, this new service will give Queensland some pretty serious techno bragging rights, as it will become the only state in Australia where commuters will have constant access to the Internet. Let’s just hope it’s reliable.
