Allegiant is currently flying towards the smaller Orlando-Sanford airport, but it’s still only a quick drive to get to all the theme park madness. The Tampa Bay area is easily accessible from the Clearwater airport, and they also offer flights to Ft. Lauderdale and Punta Gorda—which sits halfway between Sarasota and Ft. Myers. As long as you’re not interested in the Redneck Riviera, the airline has a flight that’s just for you.
One-way fares depend on where you're looking to escape. Danny McBride and the cast of Eastbound and Down can snag flights starting at just $39 each way from Wilmington, North Carolina. The citizens of the Dakotas could certainly use a break, and flights from Sioux Falls and Fargo start at $89 and $99, respectively. If you’re stuck in upstate New York, escape from Plattsburgh for only $79 each way.
Allegiant doesn’t fly to all Florida locations from every one of their cities, so see what works best for your travel plans. There's even more options than what we've mentioned here. Remember that these fares don’t include taxes and don’t include a $13.50 booking fee (per ticket) for flights that you book online. If you’re close to the airport, buy your ticket at the counter the old fashioned way. It’s the only way that you’ll avoid that pesky fee.
