Snakes, Elephants, And Monkeys Greet Bridget in Thailand

Where: Thailand

We’ve run out of comments about the show’s theme music, so let’s just jump right in. This week Bridget Marquardt is off to Thailand, but unfortunately for middle school kids everywhere, there's not one joke about Bangkok. For the most part things are focused in and around Phuket, but we start off this week’s adventure in the streets along with Bridget’s special guest.

In past episodes, we’ve enjoyed how our favorite bikini-clad babe goes it solo, and when a partner is needed, she just meets up with some random local peeps. However, this week’s episode welcomes former Playmate and MTV “star” Cara Zavaleta. She’s a lot less adventurous than Bridget, but we guess we can deal with twice the ladies as they kayak through caves, ride elephants, and hit up a less than stellar theme park.

Things start off with some old guys cruising the shoreline in their banana hammocks, so the two quickly taxi out of that situation and arrive at Karon Beach. Cara can’t handle the heat of the sand, but Bridget stays strong and discovers a snake charmer. While Cara freaks out, Bridget throws the python around herself like a necklace, and they both stand back and watch the snake charmer do his thing. We’ve got to hand it to her—we would have been out of there once that dude took out a King Cobra (the snake not the malt beverage.)

As you can imagine, parasailing right off the beach in Thailand is probably a little different than it is here at home. After a really brief safety demonstration, Bridget is airborne off the coast. Too bad there’s no way she’s going to hear the signal whistle from the driver. With Cara worrying down in the boat, Bridget does somewhat of a face-plant while landing on the beach. We’re nervous for a second, but she takes it like a champ and brushes off the damage—let’s do it again!

No visit to Thailand is complete without a visit to a Buddhist temple. Of course going inside is only for monks, but our two ladies were more than entertained by the wildlife that was hanging around the grounds. There were plenty of free bananas to be had for the local monkeys, although unlike our hosts, we definitely didn’t think the monkeys were cute. You know they’d bite your face off if they had the chance.

After all their adventures the two head to Amphur Muang and the Sukko Spa for some relaxation. They do they best to unwind by the pool while enjoying a massage, while we sit at home and book flights to Thailand. The pool looked just too inviting, so they stripped down and went skinny-dipping. Although the show’s on cable, the Travel Channel isn’t HBO, so don’t get too excited.

Our voyage ends with the girls sending sky lanterns into the air off the beach, while we weep a little inside that the show is over. We’re starting to get hooked on it, or maybe we just need something to watch after 30 Rock. Either way, we didn’t really see that many sexy beaches, but we did enjoy their picks this week. We’re just hoping that when Bridget greets us from Spain next week, that it’s without any other guest hosts trying to hog the spotlight.

Bridget in THailand

Well a trip to Thailand is different than a trip around LA. So we show the world that USA bikini clad travelers wont try new fruit, or learn 5 thai words. Why don't your just keep the boobs in LA and let them eat at MacDonalds?
