· Prague: It's the final weekend of Europe's oldest spring fest, the St. Matthew's Fair, and it's guaranteed to be a beer-rific great time. It's 25 CZK ($1.25) to enter and the big rides like the bungee drop cost extra, but the real draw is the merriment of drinking with friends outside at the start of the season, while the kids entertain themselves. For more info on how to reach the fairgrounds and what else is in store for those designated drivers, visit the Prague Monitor's summary of the fun.
· London: Prague's festival may be closing, but London's newest art exhibit will be celebrating its opening weekend at the Paradise Row Gallery on 17 Hereford Street. Entitled "Triumph of the Sign" by Jean Charles de Castelbajac, it is the first solo show from the fashion designer. Don't expect clothing, however, because Jean Charles has taken a different route of focusing on mass consumerism by commissioning painters in China to reproduce classical masterworks, only to then layer them over with brand logos. To see a preview of the works, check out Hypebeast's introduction to the event here.
· New York: It's the perfect time for the 3rd annual Anarchist Book Fair in NYC, seeing as how two of the city's universities have recently endured student protests. This one-day event, only on Saturday, is an exposition of "books, zines, pamphlets, art, film/video, and other cultural and very political productions of the anarchist scene worldwide." Find it at Judson Memorial Church in Manhattan, and don't forget to sport your favorite fatigues. Find out more info here.
