Would You Marry The Eiffel Tower?

March 9, 2009 at 5:40 PM | by juliana | 2 Comments

With so much travel news raining down on us, we don't always have time to give every story its own forecast. Here's more of the day's news, in brief.

· Frommers on Kindle: Arthur Frommer probably doesn't have a kindle but the Frommer's Travel Guides have begun offering their Frommer's CitySet for $40 on the Amazon Kindle or Kindle 2. [Mercury News]

· Travel Deals Abound, Money Does Not: We've heard it over and over again--If you happen to have a nest egg of cash under your bed, then traveling is going to be super cheap for you these days. Here are the latest deals. [Newsday]

· A Woman Marries the Eiffel Tower: And we thought we had a bad case of Francophilia. A woman actually married the Eiffel Tower in a ceremony last year and changed her surname to La Tour Eiffel. But judging from our beginner French isn't La Tour Eiffel feminine? Wouldn't this be her wife? Discuss. [Independent UK]

· Tibet Now Closed to Tourists: The Chinese government has shut down all tourism to Tibet. [Conde Nast Traveler]

· Would You Want US to Fly Your Plane?: Air Asia is running some strange promotion where bloggers can be pilots. Aside from HTML you must also have basic knowledge of you know, flying a plane. [Cranky Flier]

The house is on a dune and the view from their of the farm land is spectacular. Peaceful and thriving towm. Nawalgarh is almost 200 years old town built by the erstwhile Raja of Nawalgarh(Thakur Nawal Singh). The Fort is now converted to a shopping area with shops built inside it, it even houses a bank. But a little portion of the Fort called the burj is still intact which is beautiful from inside. Actually, Arthur Frommer loves his Kindle...

Thanks for the mention of Frommer's on Kindle! I work in marketing for Frommer's and wanted to pipe up and mention that Arthur actually *does* have a Kindle; he's a huge fan (believe it or not!)
