NHA goes so far as to call their trips the "Galapagos Anti-Cruise" so you can be fairly sure you won't be traipsing noisily from breeding ground to breeding ground or some other environmentally-sensitive spots. Sustainable and small-scale are their key words, and we like them.
No Galapagos trip is cheap--and that's probably a good thing in an eco-friendly way--but NHA offers 11 days for $4,695 on a hybrid energy yacht owned by a local Ecuadorian family; we figure that's money better spent than some of the alternatives. We're probably too selfish to just stay away.
