Fleeting Internet Coverage In The Eternal City

Where: Rome, Italy
March 2, 2009 at 1:16 PM | by egw | 0 Comments

Do you feel the magic of Rome? Those same heady fumes that caused Gregory Peck to fall for Audrey Hepburn in "Roman Holiday"? Well, you may find love there, but it won't allow you to check your e-mail for free. Or pick up pretty girls via their shared iTunes network.

Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport, the largest airport in Italy, offers WiFi to the masses through Boingo and the few through Megabeam. Even if you're lucky enough to be in the British Airways executive lounge or Terminal A's "Executive Center," you'll still have to pony up €3-€7 to log on. (Is that why there's no equivalent of "love letters" for the digital age?)

If you've done some international traveling recently, tell us which airports to celebrate and which to shame for our Airport WiFi map.
