No doubt most folks will flock here for the DJ and the excessive 10-oz specialty martinis. Though we don’t normally go in for girly drinks, the two best we tried were the Key Lime Pie with vanilla vodka, Licor 43, coconut rum, lime juice and crème; and the Tequila-tini with tequila, amaretto, banana liqueur and a splash of pineapple.

If you’re anything like us, though, you can only handle a few sips of a drink that should be considered a dessert, so try one of the dozens of microbrews on tap (you can even check out the kegs cooling down in the glassed-in beer fridge).

Thank goodness there’s some food to line your stomach, like the trio of rich cheese empanadas, the fresh ahi tartar with avocado and a wonton crisp, and a few salads to start. The main feature is the entrees, like the generous-sized burger, the lamb “lollipops” accompanied by a cheesy (in a good way) risotto, and a fresh filet of organic Scottish salmon with mango sauce and bok choy.

It’s about time this part of Silverlake had a decent lounge—-after all, even non-hipsters need a place to drink.
