The M's Sportsbook Will Take Your Mobile March Madness Bets

While it might be hard to justify staying away from the action of the Strip in Las Vegas, the just-opened M Resort (about 15 minutes from the Strip) boasts a mobile gaming network.

This means that you can play games like slots, blackjack, roulette, baccarat and poker on mobile hand-held devices throughout the resort. Also now that March Madness is here, you can watch your bracket picks win or lose in the hotel's sportsbook all the while gambling to (hopefully) raise more funds for those sports bets.

Here's how the mobile gaming works: Run by Cantor Gaming, the system hands out PDA devices to players. You open and fund a player account which you access via the PDA. Then you are free to play electronic games on the PDA in any of the designated mobile gaming spaces in the resort. But you have to wear a special bracelet to identify yourself as a legit mobile-gamer.

And here's the part that March Madness men and women will enjoy: aside from playing the gamut of regular gambling games, you can also place sportsbook bets from these electronic devices. This pretty much ensures that you don't have to get up out of your seat at all for anything.

But we can think of two great reasons to get up and walk around: The Vig Deli--conveniently located next to the sportsbook--and the pharmacy that's onsite in the casino. Seriously! Just in case your bet doesn't go as planned.
