Well, the flight attendants finally won one. Thank goodness -- we're sure lots of travel industry folk are counting on them to represent. Let's hope they keep it up! With Margie and Luke eliminating Amanda and Kris, they've removed one of the most threatening and competitive teams from the field, and they've proved to be the real power team at this point in the race.
Teams had a mandatory rest period in the city of Krasnoyarsk in Siberia. With only seven teams left, it's going to be a tough fight to the finish. Teams must ride the Trans Siberian Railway to the city of Novosibirsk over 400 miles away. Then, they must find Punkt Tehnicheskogo Osmotra to find the next clue. As it turns out, there is only one train to Novosibirsk at 10:26pm, and it's a total race equalizer. Everyone is on the same train.
DETOUR
In this Detour, teams must choose between Russian Bride or Russian
Snowplow. In Russian Bride, teams select a car, and find an apartment where they
will find a bride and take her to a church across town to rendezvous with her groom. In
Russian Snowplow, teams must drive a traditional Russian snowplow along a marked course
to receive the next clue. Well, Victor is up to his typical douchebaggery and ditches
Margie and Luke and the Cheerleaders. He's a sneaky snake and not to be trusted at all.
Once the teams have completed the challenge, they head over to the largest library in
Siberia for their next clue.
ROADBLOCK
In this challenge, one team member must run a winter marathon in nothing but their
underwear. It's sure to be the longest, coldest 1.4 miles in their lives. Viewers were
treated to a mostly naked Phil Keoghan demonstrating what it looks like to wear nothing
but boxer briefs in Siberia. Luke, Tammy and Jaime are the first brave individuals to
strip down to their skivvies and run the course. Extra points to the guys in this
challenge who ran the race without concern for their shrunken junk.
PIT STOP
This week, it's the Novosibirsk Theater. After a strong leg, Margie and Luke finish in
first, and win a five night vacation in St. Lucia, which has to sound awesome when
you're standing mostly naked on the mat in Siberia. Tammy and Victor landed in second,
with cheerleaders Jaime and Cara in third.
OUSTED
Well, so much for being travel experts. How do you go from first place to last?! Jodi
and Christie finished last but were not eliminated. This means that they will have to
complete an extra task called a Speed Bump, which puts them at a major disadvantage,
but at least they are not out of the game completely.
NEXT WEEK
Luke gets emotional when confronted with the staggering poverty in India. Also,
somebody gets kicked by a camel.
