Where to Eat:
Antiquity Restaurant is also a favorite at TripAdvisor. Patrons applauded the food, like the Spicy Shrimp, and the staff, travelertoo2 called their waiter, “a classy guy and one of the few waiters that can add to a great evening.” Located in Old Town, Antiquity offers excellent food in a comfortable atmosphere. But all of this comes at a price, the average meal costs about $40.
For a sweet after-dinner treat, check out Buffett’s Candies on Lomas Blvd NE, one of Sunshine Cleaner’s locations. There specialty is pinon nuts, they even built their own special shelling machine. All of Buffet’s Candies have been homemade with premium ingredients by the Buffett family since 1956.
What to See:
Old Town is the tourist must see in Albuquerque. The oldest part of Albuquerque is now a cluster of over 150 shops and restaurants. Old Town follows the traditional Spanish pattern of a central plaza and church surrounded by homes and businesses, most of the older homes are now small shops.
If you’re traveling with the kids, Hinkle Family Fun Center is a must, not just because it will make the little ones happy, but because it was also featured in the film. The fun center has the usual fare, bumper cars, mini-golf, paint balls, and an arcade. Hinkle’s is open year round and offers specials everyday of the week, like $15 unlimited play on Mondays.
