Our happy accident of discovering the place was a result of asking around for free wifi; which is sadly a serious rarity in such a connected city. To reach it, one must walk steeply uphill for several blocks into the SoHo neighborhood just above Central, or hop the travelator series of escalators and alight at Staunton Street. At first, the quaint cafe appears to be brimming solely with the French and British, but the diners really are a mixed bag and these are just the predominant shared languages.
Munch on a croque au fromage or eggs benedict up front on slouchy couches and or out back on the terrace, just don't overlook the awesome selection of newspapers and magazines available for purchase. We found that a free issue of the local events mag, HK, paired with one of the restaurant's fair trade coffees made us feel right at home. Mornings like this make us think that maybe, one day, it might actually become that.
