But before Kate can really take off, she meets Sun in an LA hotel near Wilshire. She leaves Aaron in the suite with her, while she goes to meet with the lawyer. In the suite, Sun receives a package containing a large file folder and a box of Godiva chocolates. However, these are not standard-issue chocolates, this box also contains a gun.
Kate meets the lawyer in his fancy LA law office. If you're searching for legal advice in the area, we'd suggest a little help from Google. She wants to know who is requesting the blood sample and DNA testing, but Mr. Attorney man won't budge.
On the island, John Locke wants the gang to head back to The Orchid to see if they can stop all of this time flashing, and to see if he can leave the island and help bring back the Oceanic 6. If only commercial travel were that fast, easy and precise! On their hike through the jungle, Locke spots a familiar shaft of light coming from the hatch (back from season one). We hear a woman screaming in the distance, and Sawyer investigates. He finds Claire in labor and just about to give birth. Kate is coaching her and helps deliver baby Aaron. Time flashes again, and the camp on the beach has returned, but it's deserted except for a pair of Hawaiian sea canoes, which the gang decides to use since the Zodiac is also gone. It's not long before they are being chased and shot at! Fortunately, time flashes, and they get back to land in the middle of a huge thunderstorm.
Back in Los Angeles, Hurley calls Jack from LA County Jail, and Kate is staked-out at the corner of Wilshire and Olive. Jack meets her there, with Sayid and Ben Linus in tow. He jumps in the car with her and follows the lawyer to a seedy hotel. From the parking lot, they see that his mystery client in Claire's mother. Jack goes to speak with her, but find she knows nothing about Aaron the lawyer was just working on the Oceanic lawsuit. Jack and Kate head over to the Long Beach Marina to meet up with Sayid and Ben Linus. Just then, Sun arrives with Aaron in the back seat, and with a loaded gun. The only folks missing are Hurley and possibly the chilly corpse of John Locke who hasn't yet been retrieved from storage that butcher shop.
On the island, wreckage has washed up, but it's all tagged in French. Out in the water, a raft full of survivors runs across a man clinging to life on a wooden plank, and it's Jin. Once on the beach, we find out the pregnant woman who speaks a little English is Danielle Rousseau.
Next Week
How are they gonna get Hurley out of the clink and convinced to go back to the island? Will Sawyer boo-hoo some more with Juliet, and what the hell is Sun doing and where is her baby during all of this?
