Chasing 'Lost' Season 5: The Little Prince

February 5, 2009 at 7:49 AM | by | Comments (5)

Each week, we're recapping the latest episode of LOST Season 5, and plotting the real ad fictional locations on our map. Just where in the world is LOST? Be sure to check out all the map points, updated weekly!

Last week, a lawyer landed on the doorstep requesting a blood sample from both Kate and Aaron. This was enough to spook Kate into a quick vacation somewhere – anywhere. We'd recommend checking with any number of sites for great last minute deals, many which offer information about traveling with babies and kids.

But before Kate can really take off, she meets Sun in an LA hotel near Wilshire. She leaves Aaron in the suite with her, while she goes to meet with the lawyer. In the suite, Sun receives a package containing a large file folder and a box of Godiva chocolates. However, these are not standard-issue chocolates, this box also contains a gun.

Kate meets the lawyer in his fancy LA law office. If you're searching for legal advice in the area, we'd suggest a little help from Google. She wants to know who is requesting the blood sample and DNA testing, but Mr. Attorney man won't budge.

On the island, John Locke wants the gang to head back to The Orchid to see if they can stop all of this time flashing, and to see if he can leave the island and help bring back the Oceanic 6. If only commercial travel were that fast, easy and precise! On their hike through the jungle, Locke spots a familiar shaft of light coming from the hatch (back from season one). We hear a woman screaming in the distance, and Sawyer investigates. He finds Claire in labor and just about to give birth. Kate is coaching her and helps deliver baby Aaron. Time flashes again, and the camp on the beach has returned, but it's deserted – except for a pair of Hawaiian sea canoes, which the gang decides to use since the Zodiac is also gone. It's not long before they are being chased and shot at! Fortunately, time flashes, and they get back to land in the middle of a huge thunderstorm.

Back in Los Angeles, Hurley calls Jack from LA County Jail, and Kate is staked-out at the corner of Wilshire and Olive. Jack meets her there, with Sayid and Ben Linus in tow. He jumps in the car with her and follows the lawyer to a seedy hotel. From the parking lot, they see that his mystery client in Claire's mother. Jack goes to speak with her, but find she knows nothing about Aaron – the lawyer was just working on the Oceanic lawsuit. Jack and Kate head over to the Long Beach Marina to meet up with Sayid and Ben Linus. Just then, Sun arrives with Aaron in the back seat, and with a loaded gun. The only folks missing are Hurley and possibly the chilly corpse of John Locke who hasn't yet been retrieved from storage that butcher shop.

On the island, wreckage has washed up, but it's all tagged in French. Out in the water, a raft full of survivors runs across a man clinging to life on a wooden plank, and it's Jin. Once on the beach, we find out the pregnant woman who speaks a little English is Danielle Rousseau.

Next Week
How are they gonna get Hurley out of the clink and convinced to go back to the island? Will Sawyer boo-hoo some more with Juliet, and what the hell is Sun doing – and where is her baby during all of this?

I want to other peoples opinions

Sun I believe is really angry about losing Jin, this is why she seems so distant. She blames Ben and Kate for losing Jin. What do you think.

Sun feels bad

She hated Jin before the trip, then cheated on him with Michael on the island. Then she miraculously got pregnant and wanted to be a better wife. And she feels Ben took him away from her too early. Blah blah. What I really want to know more about is all this time travel time-space-continuum jumping. And what if Sawyer had spoken to Kate on the Island. Would he start to disappear like Marty McFly?

Consequences of Time Travel and questions

I was also wondering what would of happen if Sawyer would have talked to Kate. They did talk to other people during this time travel, nothing happened that we know of. Also why some people get the nose bleed, etc. while others do not. I am also wondering where is suns baby while she is out and about who is watching the baby. Will Claire come back? Remember the dream that Kate had when Claire told her not to bring her son back to the island. Biggest question of all Where is the island now????

Ben Linus

Sun definitely must have anger toward Ben - but it looks like he'll clue her in that he's not really dead. I was also surprised that Miles had a nosebleed. Don't you think he's Dr. Marvin Candle's kid, or something like that? Maybe he's not really psychic, he's just is better at remembering what's already happened...

Miles Unmasked

ColinG71 - I never thought of Miles being the son of someone from 'the Others". I look forward to seeing if this is the case of Miles idenity. Very interesting.
