MySmartPac: An Earth-Friendly 3-1-1 Option?
We've become inured to the TSA's 3-1-1 rule, but not to the inconvenience of those teeny plastic bottles. Not only are they not spillproof, all that non-recyclable trash makes us uneasy. MySmartPac's collection of earth-safe, carry-on-friendly travel kits sure look like a better option -- or at least a more space-age one!
The Ohio-based company sells his and hers collections of toiletries packed in recycled polypropylene boxes with containers made of 80 percent paper. (She gets anti-aging face cream and body lotion; he gets shave gel and after shave.) At $9.95, the twee little capsules are resealable and last up to 6 uses, or (if you're careful) a weeklong trip.
While we'll gladly cop to being attached to our regular products, we're intrigued by the MySmartPac packaging and the allure of chucking an entire kit into our single packed bag. But as with people, it's what's inside that counts, and cleanser that doesn't leave you clean is no deal at all. (Not to mention, shampoo and conditioner aren't included.) Have you tried the MySmartPac? Got a better solution to our toiletry woes?
