The ceremony reportedly began at dusk and only intimate family members were present, including Tom Brady's toddler son with Bridget Moynahan, John.
St. Monica is located at California and 7th Street. Yours truly happens to live at Idaho and 7th, two blocks away. Unfortunately, we've been kicking it with old folks in Florida and totally missed the celeb nuptials. However, St. Monica is rather used to celeb parishoners. The biggest of them all? The Governator himself--Arnold Schwarzenegger who attends with his family while a phalanx of black GM Suburbans wait outside. The church is a bit of a celeb too having made a cameo in the 1944 classic, "Going My Way" with Bing Crosby.
The church is also close to several major Santa Monica hotels like the Fairmont Mirarmar and it's a block from the main vein of the West Side, Wilshire Boulevard. Nearby is the tourist paradise of the Third Street Promenade.
But more often than not, you'll find churchgoers heading up to Montana Avenue after the service where coffee shops, cafes and small boutiques await the Sunday afternoon stroll.
Since this is 7th Street, that means the beach is only seven blocks away. Well, you still have to find a cross-walk over the Pacific Coast Highway, but once you do that the long stretch of sand is just in front of you. Who knows? Maybe your own Tom Brady or Gisele Bundchen will be rollerblading on by. Um. Yeah, we doubt it.
Insider Tip: If you're curious about seeing where Tom and Gisele were standing when they said "I Do," (Ed. note: Then you have serious problems) the church has five masses on Sunday, three during the week and two on Saturday. Right now, it's Lent so there are a few more masses on the schedule. But unless, you're Catholic this might go over your head.
