Your Target Is Your Partner's Face

Chasing Racers is back, with a brand new Amazing Race 14 mashup. This map will update the morning after every new episode. Send along tips, rumors, gossip, locations and spoilers to our map editors, become a member and comment on the stories below and add to the Jaunted-Flickr photo pool to get in on the fray.

Remember to zoom in, out and around on the map--with so much happening in each episode, it's easy to miss a map point.

After last week's incredible episode, we were reminded why we love his show: awesome challenges, interesting locales and teams we actually like. Will Margie and Luke be able to keep their lead, or will Tammy and Victor power ahead? Can the flight attendants Jodi and Christie use their travel prowess to their advantage, and will Steve and Linda stop crying and focus? Only ten teams remain in this race around the globe. Who has what it takes to make it all the way to the finish and win the million dollar prize?

LET'S FIND OUT!

Teams must fly to Munich, Germany. Once there, teams must drive to Ruhpolding and ride a cable car to the top of a mountain to receive the next clue. There is a 7:10am flight on Swiss Air, or an 8:45am on Lufthansa.

All the teams clear the early flight except stunt men Mark and Michael and flight attendants Jodi and Christie. On the first flight, Steve apologizes for his behavior toward Linda during last week's cheese roll and cries. Meanwhile, Linda is hoping for a beer-related challenge while in Germany -- and we'll admit it, we would, too.

ROADBLOCK
After taking the cable car to the top of the mountain in Ruhpolding, teams hit the Roadblock. One member must para-glide off the mountain to a landing zone 6,000 feet below. The remaining team member must take the cable car back down the mountain. If the wind conditions are unsafe, team members have the option of taking a sixty minute hike back down the mountain, instead.

Most teams suit up for the paragliding, but are not cleared for flight due to windy conditions. Everyone except Mel hikes down the mountain. Mel prays for the wind to change -- and it does. He floats down to the landing area and meets Mike. Everyone else hoofs it down the mountain to receive the next clue.

Linda manages to get lost on the clearly marked trail and wanders down some highway until she flags down a helpful stranger who drives her back to the base of the mountain and the cable cars. Obviously, this has penalty written all over it.

DETOUR
Teams drive 25 miles to Schönau am Königsee where they encounter this leg's Detour. In this challenge, teams may choose Balancing Dolly or Austrian Folly. In Balancing Dolly, teams must complete a two mile obstacle course while on Segways.

In Austrian Folly, teams must toss pies at each other's faces until they find a pie with cherry filling. When teams have completed the Detour, they must find their way to a pair of Tyrolean woodcutters to receive the next clue. Teams making quick work of the pie flinging include Victor and Tammy, Amanda and Kris and Margie and Luke. Mel and Mike, the stunt brothers and Kisha and Jennifer opt for the Segway course.

THE PIT STOP
Racers must drive to Salzburg, Austria, and locate Schloss Hellbrunn, a stunning 17th century summer villa and the pit stop for this leg of the race. After pulling way ahead of the pack, Victor and Tammy come in first and win a pair of hybrid go-karts...yay?? Mel and Mike finish in second with Amanda and Kris in third. Early favorites Margie and Luke land in a comfortable and safe fourth place.

OUSTED
After stumbling around the Alps, it's no wonder that Linda and Steve land in last place, sobbing through their pie faces, and are eliminated.

NEXT WEEK
The Race hits Romania, and the teams suit-up for some gymnastics hilarity. Spandex and clumsiness make for great television! Tammy struggles to be heard by her dismissive older brother, Victor, and Amanda and Kris make a potentially disastrous mistake.

    flight attendants

Exactly! I can't believe those flight attendants aren't way ahead by now!! There is no excuse for catching that later flight. They couldn't fly jump seat or talk their way onto the earlier flight?! Also, the cheerleaders and flight attendants are never on screen at the same time...just sayin'

    Colin, that's an excellent point

I had trouble telling them apart at the beginning. At this rate, though, our members of the travel industry are going to get themselves eliminated and never be seen again.
