This Week's Inflatable Travel Pillow Abomination: The TravelRest

Fashion vs. comfort works a little differently on long travel days. T-shirt, sweatpants, and boots in the office: utterly inexcusable. T-shirt, sweatpants, and boots on an airplane: still utterly inexcusable, albeit moderately less worthy of eternal hellfire. Even on travel days, however, there are limits. We went over one last week when we urged you to eschew the Skyrest. This week: the TravelRest. This masterpiece of contemporary comfort is available for only $27 plus tax plus your self-respect.
One of the following two things is true. Either the TravelRest "has literally stretched the concept of an inflatable travel pillow with its patented ergonomic shape and tethered design" or the TravelRest looks like Klingon battlegear covered with faux velvet so that even Comic Con geeks will laugh at you. Maybe there's a slim chance they're both true. But since it's undeniably covered with faux velvet - are you really willing to take that chance?
For what it's worth, Lisa J from Washington State says that it's "much better than any other travel pillow she's used" and that "the flight attendants on her last flight wanted hers!" Admittedly Lisa J is a generic name put under a generic quote on TravelRest's generic-looking site - still. The pillow also got a real life positive review from CrunchGear. They were especially impressed by the cord that it has, which you can use to tether yourself to your airline seat. If you're into that sort of thing.
Which they apparently are.
