A Night on the Town Without Leaving 'MyHouse'

Where: 7080 Hollywood Blvd. [map], Los Angeles, CA , United States, 90028

No, our tiny studio apartment hasn’t turned into a disco recently. We're talking about nightclub impresarios David Judaken and Tony Daly’s newest boite in Hollywood, MyHouse.

The likes of Kim Kardashian and Audrina Partridge turned out for the opening, so you can be sure to see some reality TV and stolen sex tape stars when you manage to get past the iron-clad velvet rope.

Inside, the 10,000 square foot space was designed by Los Angeles retro-chic maven Dodd Mitchell, whose other projects include the Roosevelt, the Crescent, and the Thompson Beverly Hills hotels, as well as restaurants like Katana, Dolce and BondSt.

Mitchell modeled the design after a house he had his eye on, and the club has a front yard, a foyer, and a fully functioning kitchen where you can get a drink. Mosey on through the dining and living rooms, then hit the outdoor patio where I’m told you’ll soon be able to soak in the Jacuzzi.

Let’s not forget the most important room, though: the bedroom. That’s right, upstairs there is an actual bedroom complete with bar and…er, “date” supplies, in the nightstand drawers. The bed’s huge leather headboard and the skull-shaped side lamps are just cool enough to make you wish you could take the whole room home with you.

Sure, it might be more expensive — okay, way more expensive — than a night in, but it’s better than sitting around in your pajamas flipping through your Tivo.
