2009's Best Jaunted Field Trip Is...
We took a megaton of field trips this year, and if you don't believe us, just check out the comprehensive list of 2009's visits below. Jaunted Field Trips are what we call week-long series of travel writing, where a Jaunted writer reports back from all corners of the globe, complete with photos, anecdotes, and tips to help you plan a trip to the same spot. The vast majority of these trips come out of our own pockets, and any exceptions are noted.
Of the many great series from 2009, the one the stood out for us was Nathan Paluck's Field Trip through Southern Peru. There were cowboys, some sandboarding, bouts of altitude sickness and plenty mentions of Lake Titicaca. Nathan's stories will hopefully inspire travelers to venture outside of Lima and Macchu Picchu, and into true locals territory.
More field trips, after the jump.
