· Home Turf: Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Things between the two teams get heated so the decision was made long ago to bring the game to a more neutral site. Most years, including this one, the game is played at the home of the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles. It’s a fairly new professional stadium so fans can expect the latest in extravagant amenities—no roughing it here. If you want to head out to the game but need to save some cash for holiday shopping, there are some standing room only tickets still available. They’re still $45, but at least you'll be able to see all those cadet push-ups in person.
· Away Team Accommodations:
There’s no great Philadelphia hotel option that’s convenient to the game, but there are plenty that are just a short drive or ride away. We have to recommend the Hotel Palomar in Rittenhouse Square. There’s plenty of action in the hotel’s neighborhood, and the place just opened so it’s still got that new hotel smell. Rooms are available from $329, but they had some introductory specials going on a couple months ago. It might be worth giving the hotel a call directly to see if they can do any better.
· Where to Party:
The two schools aren’t really known for their party scene, but there will definitely be fans and veterans eager to route for their favorite sides. Many consider this game one of the best sporting events to see in person, so even without a little pre-game party, you should be more than entertained. If you just need to start the celebration early check out some of the tailgate parties. We think that Scot and Jen’s Venison Chilifest sounds like an experience, and apparently all their Army friends are invited. Sounds like we’ll be supporting the Black Knights for this game! You can register your own tailgate festivities right here.
