The Jolie-Pitts Spend The Holidays in NYC So Angie Can Get Back To Work
While everyone else is enjoying time off this week, Angelina Jolie is busy working. The mother of six dragged her whole brood, including Brad Pitt, to New York City last week so she could finish shooting additional scenes for the spy thriller Salt. The production took time off for Christmas but is back on today, filming a scene around W 28th St and 11 Ave in Manhattan. Angie spent most of last spring filming the project in which she stars as Evelyn Salt, a CIA officer accused of being a Russian spy. Liev Schreiber, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Andre Braugher also star in the film due in theaters next year.
The family appears to be making the most of their time in NYC, without breaking the bank. The clan sipped on hot chocolate at a Café Metro last Monday. Eyewitnesses claim Brad waited in line with everyone else while Ang got Maddox, Pax, Shiloh and Zahara situated. Brad and Ang were also spotted buying hats and gloves for the kids from a street vendor in Manhattan, proving even the rich and famous like to take advantage of a deal every once in a while.
The couple reportedly took some of the money they saved last week and put it toward a generous $100,000 donation to the American SOS Children's Villages, an alternative foster care organization in Illinois and Florida. "We have seen firsthand the remarkable job SOS does to raised orphaned and abandoned children and keep families together," Jolie said. "No one 'ages out' of an SOS Village. Vocational training, advanced education, living assistance and more support are there forever."
