Chicken Maharaja-Mac Anyone? International Versions of American Fast Food

Vincent Vega said it best. They've got the same things overseas that we have here in America, but as a traveler you notice the little differences, like beer served in movie theaters, French fries served with mayonnaise, and funny names for fast food sandwiches like Royale with Cheese. LA Weekly must have been thinking along the same lines when they published their funny list of American fast food items that you can't get in America.

Among the expat delicacies is English-style pork stew as served by Pizza Hut in China, the Herb Dog from the Subway sub shops of Japan, and KFC's Shrimp Zinger Burger, which you'll have to travel to South Korea to sample. Not too weird, but definitely a little bit different than the burger-and-fries routine.

I've often wondered what McDonald's does in India, where cows are sacred, and now I know. They use chicken to create the Maharaja-Mac (pictured), an exact copy of the Yankee version with one holy difference. I could live with that.
