The script originally called for the women to film in Dubai, but officials decided the movie's themes were to racy to shoot in their ultra-strict United Arab Emirates city. So instead, those scenes were altered and will be shot throughout Morocco. In addition to Marrakech, the cities of Erfoud and Rabat will also get their fair share of screen time in SATC2.
Marrakech is one one Morocco's largest cities and most popular tourist destinations. Riad Dar Najat, a top rated hotel in the heart of the city, is currently offering rooms for as low as $115 a night. The boutique style hotel has a roof top garden where breakfast is served daily and a friendly staff who can tell you what to do (and more importantly, what not to do) to get the most out of your stay in Marrakech. Secure parking and Wi-Fi are also available to guests of the hotel. Reservations can be made online or by calling 0212 524375085.
