Enterprise Rent-A-Car Tops Customer Survey, Thrifty Hits Bottom

If you’re renting a car this week to visit family and friends, you might want to consider giving Enterprise Rent-A-Car your business—at least you know they won’t criticize you like some of your relatives. The company best known for the ability to "pick you up" has come out on top in this year’s J.D. Power and Associates customer satisfaction survey. They must be doing something right as this is the sixth straight year they've taken home the victory when it comes to satisfaction among those renting from the airport.

Consumers were questioned over approximately the last year or so on several different areas including overall satisfaction, the rental car itself, and return process, among a few other criteria. Enterprise scored a solid 770 on their 1,000 point scale, but other rental car companies weren’t far behind.

National and Hertz did pretty well on the survey too, bringing in second and third place with 757 and 747 points, respectively. We’ve been pleased with Enterprise the couple times that we’ve used them, and we enjoyed getting a Volkswagen Jetta instead of some domestic leftover for a change.

However, where there are winners, there are also losers. Sorry Payless Car Rental, you came in last this year with a score of 668, but Thrifty and Dollar might try to take the worst place trophy from you next year—they rounded out the bottom three. Let’s just see if these rental car companies can live up to their newly earned reputation during the holiday rush—we’re thinking they’ll probably lose a few friendliness points as the counters are swarmed through the weekend.

Did you rent a car for travel this weekend? How's that working out for ya? Sound off in the comments!

List

I had a look for the full car rental list, but couldn't seem to find the whole list. Shame really i would have liked to have seen all the rankings

carhire

Daveknutz, you can use a local directory to find a complete list of car rental services depending on where you're going to travel. I've found a good listing site by googling for a car rental Raleigh company.
