For something more sedate, the Kiwi Challenge golf tournament is coming up on November 14 and 15, where four young PGA tour golfers will be vying for a NZ$1 million prize. Spectator tickets cost NZ$50 (US$35) and the tournament is taking place at a snazzy resort in Hawkes Bayworth a trip just for the scenery.
And finally, if you can wait a little longer, January brings the Quiksilver World Junior Surfing Championships to the black sand Piha Beach in Auckland from 20 to 28 January, 2010. It's for surfers under 18 years of age so it's the kind of event where you'll see the future stars before they're really famous, so grab some autographs!
