Even if she doesn't meet the family, Madonna will have plenty to keep her busy. She plans to visit some of Rio de Janeiro's slums today for a possible documentary. Tomorrow, she is meeting with the the city's governor, Sergio Cabralto, to discuss setting up a few "social projects" within the city.
Last night, Madonna and Jesus had dinner at a Japanese restaurant in Zona Sul, the south zone of Rio and the most touristy section of the city. Right now, the swank Copacabana Palace in Zona Sul is offering a special Christmas package that includes accommodations and breakfast daily for $410 a night. Who knows, if things go well this week, Madonna just might be back in Rio for the holidays too.
