The announcement of the new iPod integration feature came at World Airlines Entertainment Association (WAEA) Conference recently, and thus far isn't installed on any airplanes. But we're betting that it won't be too much longer.
If, like with any other electronic device you travel with, you worry about this draining the battery power of your iPod or iPhone, then rejoice in the fact that the new system includes USB charging capability, "which is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, iPod classic, iPod nano and other famous portable media devices." And here Singapore Airlines just went and updated their IFE with 1,000 on-demand selections. Time for another upgrade! Now the airlines get to feel just like how we do with buying electronic devices; you always feel that it's obsolete the moment after you buy it.
